MorePaws Inspires Community Spirit through Group Dog Walks

The new MorePaws App is all about building community and making new friends that’s simply inspired by a common interest – a love of dogs!

The App’s founder, Ry Webster, got the idea for MorePaws after hearing his Mum’s (Diane) concerns about walking their Poodle pup alone and struggling to meet other dog owners in the area.

He explained: “As a first-time dog owner, it can be overwhelming being out in a park on your own with a boisterous puppy, plus one in two women are cautious of walking alone*, so I set about creating a community driven App that makes it easy to connect with like-minded dog owners”.

MorePaws allows you to connect with thousands of dog owners, arrange group walks, share advice and even help each other with dog walking and dog sitting, making pet care less expensive. And it couldn’t be simpler to set up a profile to join the community.

As well as its live newsfeed, the MorePaws Interactive Map shows local dog friendly hospitality venues, trainers, groomers and vets nearby. Along with a ‘Create a Group Walk’ feature, it takes no time to post your Group Walk for other community members to join. You can then see who else will be joining your walk.

MorePaws has just expanded with “MorePaws guides” who host monthly group walks across the UK, leading the way to inspire ‘community spirit’ nationwide – all through walking the dog.

Diane Webster commented: “MorePaws has changed things dramatically for both me and Betty. Betty in terms of building her confidence. She’s a timid dog by nature but walking regularly with groups has had a real positive effect. And for me, I’ve got to know people in my local area well enough that I feel happy to leave Betty with them whilst I go out and in turn I look after theirs. This saves us all money and is super convenient”.
