What data is collected and who has your data?
Digital magazine format
In order to process your print magazine subscription, we will collect your name, address and telephone number. This information is needed to process your subscription, to keep track of your subscriptions, and to ship the magazine to your address. We will use this for the lawful basis of performance of a contract with you. We will keep this information unless you ask us to delete it or, if you cancel your subscription, we will keep it for a period of 6 months after cancellation. We aim to review your account every 3 months to see if an account is still active or has not been active during this period to assess if we still need your data. If we do not, we will delete it. How is the data used for the print version of the magazine?
Your data, name, address, and telephone number will be used by us to proceed with processing your magazine subscription for the print version of the magazine. We use this information to process your subscription order, to track your subscriptions and to ship the publication to your supplied address.
By supplying us with this information, name, address, telephone number, you also consent to Westies & Besties Ltd communicating with you via email/newsletter about your print subscription for our legitimate interests.
We may also use your personal data for our legitimate interests (or those of a third party) in connection with any potential sale of our business or any asset in our business. As above, the purposes for which we will use your data are (i) for the performance of your print subscription contract, (ii) where it is necessary for our legitimate interests of managing your subscription.
Who has your data for the print version of the magazine?
Westies & Besties does not share your data or any information about you with any third parties or other companies.
The exception to this is where payment is made via Stripe who need your payment details and your name and address and email address to accept payment in order for your print subscription to be finalized and processed by us. However, in this case you provide your payment data directly to Stripe – Westies and Besties do not collect, use, or store this data.

Our print edition of the magazine is distributed by Warners Midlands PLC, a company based in the United Kingdom. Warners Midlands PLC provide a secure FTP site to ensure the protection of our customers’ data (name and address) which is only used for mailing purposes.

We are an independent publisher and we do not share your data with third parties.
We use Google Analytics to find out which location our readers are in, the age group of our readers, which stories they have spent time reading on our website, and how long viewers have spent observing content on this website. Your 6-month, or 12-month print subscription will automatically renew on the same date 6 or 12 months from the date you purchased the original subscription. CORRECTION OF INFORMATION
If you notify us that the personal data we hold is incomplete or inaccurate we will correct or complete the information as soon as possible.
DELETION OF INFORMATION
You have the right to request that your personal data be deleted; including if we no longer need it for the purpose we collected it, or, where our legal basis for processing is that you have given consent, you withdraw your consent.
Following such a request we will erase your personal data without undue delay unless continued retention is necessary and permitted by law. If we made the personal data public, we will take reasonable steps to inform other data controllers processing about processing your erasure request.
OBJECT TO PROCESSING
You have the right to object to us processing your personal data where we are relying on a legitimate interest (or those of a third party) and there is something about your particular situation which makes you want to object to processing on this ground as you feel it impacts on your fundamental rights and freedoms.
